French Yamaha driver Fabio Quartararo has secured “pole position” this afternoon on the track of Catalonia (Barcelona-Spain). He clocked a time of 1’38 “853, indicating that the Japanese engine is the fastest this season.
This is the fifth “pole” in a row for Quartararo, the leader of the Moto GP world championship. In second place was Jack Miller’s Ducati engine, followed by Frenchman Johann Zarco, with the Ducati Pramac, a trio that will be in the front line.
For the first time this season, the Italian Valentino Rossi with Yamaha Petronas, the 11th, manages to enter the group of the best. Anyway, Rossi has so far made a season to be forgotten.
