Google has decided to postpone plans to block third-party cookies from the Chrome browser.
Cookies are a mechanism used to track the activity of Internet users and enable publishers to target them with ads.
Currently blocked by Google rivals like Apple, Microsoft and Mozilla. But critics say that if Google blocks them, advertisers will be forced to go to the search giant for information that until yesterday was collected by cookies, thus giving it an unfair advantage.
This is because the company intends to replace the system with another Google design which it claims protects privacy but allows advertising.
The ban on cookies was planned for 2022 and has already been postponed to 2023. According to statistics, Chrome is the largest browser with 65% of the market. / PCWorld Albanian
