The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Northern Macedonia, Bujar Osmani, stated that the country’s path to the European Union passes through Bulgaria, without the approval of which the accession negotiations cannot begin, but that Sofia should not miss this opportunity if it wants a stable Balkans.

German support for Balkan integration continues
German State Minister for Europe Michael Roth will pay a two-day visit to northern Macedonia. The future of the Berlin Process and issues related to the European perspective of the country and the region will be the main topics of conversation with the senior German diplomat, say the Secretariat for European Affairs.
“Given Germany’s strong and active commitment during and after its EU presidency, this visit is a continuation of German efforts for a common approach to the European path of Northern Macedonia,” the ECA statement said.
Before arriving in Skopje, German State Minister for Europe Michael Roth said it was high time the European Union fulfilled its promises to start membership negotiations with northern Macedonia and Albania.
