A young man in the capital who manages his father’s business is not angered by the economic damage done to him by a client, but by the client’s courage to deceive and ridicule him. For this reason, he has decided to make a cause for the police by asking them to find the citizen, who slept a few nights in his hotel and then fled.
“My name is EN and I am employed as a receptionist in my father’s hotel that I manage”, begins his story at the police station number one, a 29-year-old boy.
“On April 17, 2021, a US citizen showed up at the hotel, who registered with an ID card with the name JE” But this document and the personal data with which he was presented later turned out to be false. Even his phone number turns out to be unavailable.
But to prove this conclusion, agents had to track on security cameras the vehicle with which he circulated and then go to the company offices, where the car was rented.
According to the police, the preliminary investigative and verification actions show that the foreign citizen stayed in the hotel located in “Rruga e Elbasanit” for a week. It even seems that the American has been privileged because of foreign citizenship and concessions have been made to him at a price.
“The client agreed to pay the amount of 20 euros per night with a total of 130 euros along with some other services he has received during his stay at the hotel”, says the 29-year-old for the Tirana Police.
By the day of departure the client has appeared and looked like any other person frequenting a hotel.
“Afterwards, this person said that he would leave and asked me to load the suitcases in the vehicle and that he would return to make the payment, but he did not return.”
According to the police data, the foreign citizen showed up at the hotel and left the hotel in the same vehicle, a Dacia. After the identification of the vehicle license plates was realized, it turned out that the car was rented to a company that has its headquarters in the former Bloc.
“On our part, – it is said in the police file – has been communicated with representatives of the company in question and they have made available a photocopy of the passport of this citizen where it turned out that he was not called as he was presented in the hotel, but that the name of his real one is YOU Hankin, from Ohio.
Police insist on the newspaper Si that several other actions are being carried out to find out whether or not this citizen has left Albania and then is expected to refer him for fraud investigations./ SI newspaper
