Last week Pinterest said it would ban any kind of advertising which had to do with weight loss on the platform in an effort to prevent the spread of unhealthy diets.
From July 1 the platform has started blocking ads which have language or images that promote different body shapes.
As with any social network, the challenge is not about setting rules rather than applying and enforcing them to make sure no one is breaking them.
Although known as a platform when many people find comfort online, it has historically faced the problem of promoting unhealthy lifestyles.
In fact such content has been banned since 2012 but has found its way onto the platform over the years. / PCWorld Albanian
