Citizen Luan Bundo has been arrested by the police authorities in Madrid, after the exchange of police information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Madrid, for the purpose of extradition to Albania, following the international arrest warrant issued by the National Central Office Interpol Tirana, after the Judicial District Court Tirana, in 2016, sentenced this citizen to 10 years in prison, for the criminal offense “Assistance in illegal border crossing.”
Also, the Court of the Tirana Judicial District, in 2016, sentenced this citizen to 2 more years of imprisonment, for the criminal offense “Fraud”.
He was arrested in 2019 in Madrid at the request of the Albanian authorities after helping a young man to go to Australia, while since 2014 family members no longer have contact with their son.
Bundo has received 13 thousand euros from 32-year-old Mensur Prençi in order to go to Australia. The latter left Indonesia with a trawler according to the contacts given to him by Bundo, but then the family lost all contact with him.
