Four years after introducing the Switch, Nintendo is back with an upgraded version of the console which shone in popularity.
After much speculation the company confirmed the existence of a new Switch model with OLED screen and it will cost $ 350. The console goes on sale on October 8th.
The latest model has a larger 7-inch screen. The 720p OLED OLED display is an upgrade from the previous model’s 6.2-inch LCD model. Screen frames have been significantly reduced.
In addition to the display the new Switch has 64GB of internal memory, a new dock that includes an ethernet port, improved voice quality and a new mechanism for holding the console vertically.
Nintendo only mentions 1080p resolution via HDMI thus ruling out speculation that the console would come with 4K.
Thanks to the OLED screen the battery life has been increased to 9 hours. The new console is heavier at 320 grams compared to the 290 grams that was the previous model.
Joy-Cons remote controls will also work with the new model. Recall that in September 2019 Nintendo introduced the Switch Lite, a smaller and less expensive console than the standard model.
It is one of Nintendo’s best-selling consoles and since 2017 has sold 84.59 million units. GameWorld Albanian
