Nenad Çanak: I am not a traitor, for me Kosovo is an independent state

The chairman of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, Serbian politician Nenad Canak, stated today that he personally thinks that Kosovo is an independent state.

Canak told Serbian television “Happy TV” that he thinks so personally, and that all other Serbs can be convinced of this if they go to Gjakova.

“If you go to Gjakova, then you see that they have their police, their judiciary, a functioning police system,” said Canak.

Asked by reporters, he said that because of this attitude he does not consider himself a traitor.

“If there was a referendum in Galileo’s time – if the world is a flat plate, 99 percent would think so, but that does not mean the world is a plate, but that people think so,” Canak said. commenting on the prevailing views on Kosovo among the citizens of Serbia.

Canak said that after talks with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, he concluded that his views were “true in some areas, and in some areas constructively political.”

“It’s not completely black and white. “But to close your eyes, not to see patriotically what the reality is like, is not good politics”, said Canak.
