Muslim believers across the country are celebrating Eid al-Adha today.
Early in the morning, thousands of believers, unlike a year ago, who due to the pandemic prayed the Eid al-Adha prayer in the mosque under restrictive measures, this Tuesday they prayed in Skanderbeg Square.
During Eid al-Adha prayers, Muslim clerics appealed for more peace, love among people and help for those in need.
The head of the Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu in his speech emphasized and demanded more love and harmony between people.
“We are a globalized world and it demands as much as possible to face the challenges. To experience this holiday as well as possible, to visit each other and to spread as much love as possible. “All Muslim heads of families who have the opportunity to wait for a sacrifice and distribute it to those in need,” said Spahiu.
After the prayer, the believers present exchanged many congratulatory messages.
Meanwhile, the same festive atmosphere has accompanied the Eid al-Adha prayer in every mosque in the country.
The feast of Eid culminates with the sacrifice. According to rites, every Muslim family sacrifices an animal as a sign of love for God.
