The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj after the meeting with the Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that he asked him not to have a surprise dialogue, while he said that it would be useful for the United States of America, respectively President Joe Biden to appoint an envoy to the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.
Haradinaj said that in this meeting with Kurti he heard the views of the Prime Minister on the dialogue and expressed his concerns, as the leader of the AAK for this process.
The President of the Alliance said that their proposal, as they requested in the letter of May 6 addressed to Kurti, is for the US to be included in the dialogue, reports Telegrafi.
“We investigate a lack of US presence in the dialogue… I think this is a bad situation for Kosovo, it upsets the balance of Kosovo’s interests in the dialogue with Serbia. “It would be useful to appoint an envoy for the dialogue by US President Joe Biden”, said the head of AAK.
According to him, the fact that “there is confusion on the agenda” is also worrying, because, as he said, some developments are presented as Berlin’s agenda, such as that of free movement with Bosnia.
Speaking about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Haradinaj said that the main weight is played by Miroslav Lajcak, who, as he said, has a low level of representation.
The AAK leader also demanded that the dialogue not be a surprise and that the country’s Constitution be respected.
He also spoke about Kurti’s statement in Brussels that the Western Balkans must be freed from war criminals.
“We are investigating a kind of escape from the fact that Kosovo has waged a liberation war. “The KLA has brought freedom to the country, aided by NATO, and the countries of the region cannot be equated,” Haradinaj said.
According to him, Serbia is still not demilitarized, while Kosovo has carried out this process, being transformed from the KLA, to the KPC, then to the KSF.
“The only country in the region is, in my opinion, or as Kurti should have said, Serbia, needs to get rid of war criminals,” Haradinaj said.
He further said that Kosovo has in the Assembly two people who are victims of the war, such as Vasfije Krasniqi and Saranda Bogujevci.
