A new kind of “chefs” are making a fuss on the stage of Parisian restaurants in the Beaubourg neighborhood of the French capital.
According to foreign media, these are restaurants like the new pizzeria ‘Pazzi’ which is fully equipped with robots, from taking orders, preparing dough, to putting pizzas in boxes.
“We are in a very fast process, with a perfect time control, a quality control as we have a stability offered by robotics, and then a very cool and relaxed environment”, says the co-inventor of the robot ‘Pazzi’, Sébastien Roverso.
“The idea is also to spend some nice minutes watching the robot while you wait for it to become your pizza.”
As it turns out, the project lasted eight years of development as the team meticulously adjusted their creation to ensure it could consistently deliver higher quality pizza autonomously.
“What’s hard is the dough,” explains Thierry Graffagnino, a chef consultant in Pazzi and three-time world pizza champion.
