A wave of protests has erupted in France against the restrictive measures imposed by the government in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Thousands of citizens took to the streets of French cities and destroyed two vaccination centers, opposing the new rules against Covid.
Both vaccination centers are said to have been burnt down by angry protesters. According to BBC there were about 100 thousand citizens who came out to protest.
Citizens oppose compulsory vaccination for health workers and the permission that every citizen must have to enter various public places.
Critics have accused the government of President Emmanuel Macron of violating fundamental freedoms and have announced that protests will continue.
But the government has said new measures are being taken in an effort to curb the spread of the Delta variant, which is causing an increase in hospital admissions.
