The Food and Veterinary Agency (KFVA) in Kosovo has stated that the latest data show that Avian Influenza in Kosovo has been defeated.
Thus, the decision of KVFA to stop the movement of birds has been repealed.
This was also confirmed by the spokesman of this institution Lamir Thaçi. In a statement to the media, he said that farmers are free to carry out their activities, including importing.
“From today, all poultry farmers in Kosovo are free to trade their poultry, but always respecting the sanitary and legal conditions and official trading premises. We as a state authority have shown a high level of professionalism. We have shown a great deal of dedication because it is a very dangerous virus. “And we managed to be free of this virus for a very short period of time, in fact from today.”, he said.
