Mihrije Braha and Naim Abazi spoke yesterday about the success of 29 years of marriage.
The couple of singers from Kosovo told “Rudina” the first story of almost three decades, when they were starting their new life together.
Stopping at their wedding, Mihrija and Naimi, excited by Rudina for a moment they have never shown from the wedding, a pleasant or embarrassing situation, the couple said that the place where the event was organized was the biggest embarrassment at the time. .
“The only embarrassment was the bar where we organized it, because it was a period when the Serbs had occupied all the beautiful bars and we did it in a football club ‘Flamurtari’ and we decorated everything with our possibilities. But the number of wedding guests was very large and when dancing there was a lot of density inside and it was a kind of embarrassment.
Another embarrassment was how the band was working, because we were leading the band, then we had done all the preparations for the wedding to be traditional, but with a lot of elements we had gotten from Europe and America and we had prepared how the girls would fit in and young boys with roses, etc., things that were done for the first time in Prishtina.
And it was always that concern whether it would be done as we had prepared it for us. On the other hand that happened probably for the first time at the wedding“- confessed Naimi.
Mihrija, on the other hand, added:
“Yes, we sang some songs together. They said ‘we like to hear the bride and groom singing’. I was confused, it was also the moment that the bride had to hold and a little that attitude, even I had never heard and I heard as an obedient bride and sang with Naim.
