Another murder within the family took place in Larissa, Greece, where a man shot and killed his wife in the middle of a tavern. In front of dozens of eyewitnesses, a 54-year-old man entered his wife’s brother’s tavern and shot his 43-year-old wife eight times.
After committing the murder, the perpetrator tried to escape, but was stopped and disarmed by the Police. while details regarding the motive of the crime are not yet known. Police are taking evidence from witnesses to uncover more details from the murder.
According to protothema.gr, the president of Sotiritsa, Vassilis Letsios has indicated that the 43-year-old had returned to her village 4-5 months ago to help her brother’s business, which is located in a rehabilitation center.
“He was not here, he came from Athens and killed him. What can I say more? The girl was from the village and she was married to him in Athens, they lived together there. But it turned out that his brother was ill and there was no one to help him. Now none of us know what problems they had with each other. He came from Athens to kill him. They have been married for many years because their children are almost 20 years old,He said.
This is the second murder within the week that takes place in Greece, where a few days ago an Albanian shot his wife to death with a knife, all out of jealousy.
