iOS 15 is coming. Apple gave us an idea of what to expect from the mobile operating system at the WWDC developer conference followed by a public beta of iOS 15.
Although we saw a lot of new features in iOS 14.5 in April, such as the ability to access Face ID even with a mask, blocking tracking for advertising purposes, iOS 15 brings even more.
Some of the new features are making FaceTime calls with Android users, distributing files in iMessage and better directions in Maps.
iOS 15: Autumn Debut
Apple unveiled iOS 15 at WWDC on June 7th. The operating system was initially available to developers before coming as a public beta on June 30th.
Apple Time CEO Cook said the final version of iOS 15 will debut in the Fall. It will most likely be September along with the introduction of the iPhone 13.
iOS 15: New features
are some new features that are coming to iOS 15. Initially FaceTime will offer spatial audio making people’s voices look more natural. FaceTime will also be more like Zoom where participants in a call are displayed in the grid view, calls can be pre-defined and shared with links and accessed in browsers from Android or Windows devices.
iOS 15 brings some new features to iMessage for sending photos, news, articles and music playlists. When a friend sends you some photos in iMessage, they will appear in the format of a dynamic collage.
To access these images later, you need to go to the Shared with You directory. Apple Maps has also been updated to provide more data, added street colors, signs, 3D views and improved Night Mode.
When traveling on foot an augmented reality feature makes it possible to scan the space around the buildings around you and the iPhone camera determines your position with the highest accuracy.
How to download iOS 15?
If you want to test iOS 15 in front of others, you have to download it as a public beta. Remember that beta versions do not have stability and we do not recommend downloading them to your primary device.
You must first sign up for the Apple beta website at this link: https://beta.apple.com/sp/betaprogram/
Then go to Settings app > Generale > Software Update.
