Introducing the most powerful processor for Android phones

Qualcomm today unveiled the newest processor for flagship smartphones, the Snapdragon 888+ and is currently the most powerful mobile processor.

The new chip takes processing power to another level by bringing advanced functionalities.

Processor specifications:

  • Connectivity: Modem Snapdragon X60, mmWave, 5G
  • performances: Kryo 680 core with 3Ghz frequency, Adreno 660, 5-nanometer
  • Artificial Intelligence: Qualcomm AI Engine 6th generation and 32 TFOPS performance
  • cAMERA: 2.7 Gigapixels per second, 4K HDR

On paper it seems a real power, at least when compared to the Snapdragon 888. It is built with mobile gaming in mind, a massive and growing industry.

The standard model has a frequency of 2.84Ghz, while 888+ with a turbo frequency reaches up to 3.0Ghz. While 888 has 26 TOPS performance, 888+ has 32 TOPS.
