After several years focusing only on the mobile product, Instagram has decided to allow users to post from the computer.
A number of Twitter users reported that the feature has been live since Thursday although only for a limited number hinting that we are dealing with a test.
Facebook confirmed the tests by acknowledging that many users access the social network from their computer.

Based on the posted functionality images users can select the size of the images and apply filters.
Historically Instagram has acted slowly in terms of web functionalities. Communication with messages came only last year.
