In an effort to increase the number of YouTube Premium subscriptions, Google has offered everything from free hardware to access to unique functionalities.
It has already started testing a low cost subscription in some European countries which gives users access to the ad-free platform.
The plan costs 6.99 euros per month while the normal price of YouTube Premium is 11.99 euros. The platform itself said it is testing the service in Belgium, Denmark, Luxembourg and Norway. Rival Netflix offers a Netflix Basic subscription for € 7.99.
