Huawei, in cooperation with the Faculty of Information Technology, started the journey of the international program “Seeds for Future” for the first time in Albania. Through a virtual presentation, the company executives, faculty professors and students opened the door to a very innovative program that brings the experience of the world technology giant to Albanian students.
As education is essential for a society, the Seeds for Future program aims to create opportunities that support young people in their professional development in the field of information technology. This program cultivates new talents with the necessary technological skills making them more competitive in the job market.
Zv. Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Prof. Asoc Indrit Enesi said that “Among our students there are many talents who want to engage and further develop their skills. This program brings them a unique opportunity to be trained by the best connoisseurs of elite technology on topics such as: 5G network, artificial intelligence, cloud computing… etc. “Seeds for Future is also one of the programs that helps a lot in the gap created between university studies and the labor market.”
Huawei CEO in Albania Mr. Sun Gang said: “I am glad to be part of the opening of a program that focuses on the growth and development of Albanian youth. Huawei is a company committed to undertake such initiatives in the future, aiming at the further technological development of the country. “
Also present at the event was the Head of Businesses in Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo, Mr. Marjan Hoxha, who during his speech to the students highlighted the importance of Huawei training and the advantages of benefiting from the knowledge gained. “Being a former student of the same faculty, I feel special pleasure to present today a program so valuable for students, which helps them develop skills related to information technology. “Every student would feel lucky to be certified by a company with such technological advancement as Huawei.”
The program lasts 8 days, during which selected students attend online courses by professionals in the field. At the end of the program they are awarded a certificate that assesses the knowledge gained.
“Seeds for Future” was first introduced in 2008 with the aim of developing ICT talents around the world by building bridges of communication between different countries and cultures. Currently the program extends to 130 countries and regions and about 9000 students have benefited from its knowledge. Recently, the program was extended to Albania, sharing the expertise and experiences of the global business environment. Huawei in Albania will continue to bring to the students in our country, the latest practices of elite technology in the world.
