Italy and Spain, two countries highly dependent on tourism, have significantly accelerated vaccination rates in recent weeks. Brazil and India, which are among the countries most affected by the pandemic, have 18% and 10% of the population receiving at least one dose, respectively, while many African countries have not given a single dose.
Albania, among the last in Europe
Vaccination rates have slowed in Albania in recent weeks, although the opposite was expected to happen with the advent of tourism. According to Our World in Data, nearly 9% of the population has been fully vaccinated, while about 8% have received only one dose, leaving about 17% of the population to have received at least one dose. Albania surpasses in vaccination rates only the countries of the region (except Serbia) and the countries of the former Soviet Union (see graph).
