Distria Krasniqi has secured Olympic medals for Kosovo in the Olympic Games “Tokyo 2020”, snatching the Gold Medal
In the grand final, Distria defeated Japan’s Tonaki Funa.
Distria has started the whole first day of “Tokyo 2020”, after winning the first three matches and then the final to win Olympic gold.
Pejania has won the first match with ‘ippon’ against the Brazilian, Gabriela Chibana, while in the quarterfinals she also defeated with ‘ippon’ Chen Hao Lin in the category up to 48 kg.
In the semifinals, Distria met opponent Urantsetseg Munkhbat, whom they also managed to defeat albeit with little difficulty.
Our judoka proved strong by winning through ‘Waza-Ari’, securing the grand final.
In the final, Distria met the Japanese Funa Tonaki, whom she, like any other opponent, defeated to make the whole of Kosovo proud.
