Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, citizens from Kosovo continue to choose Albania as a destination to spend the weekend.
During Friday and Saturday, at the border crossing of Vërmicë, from Kosovo to Albania, 41 thousand 146 people and about 12 thousand vehicles passed, based on the data of the Kosovo Police.
The Kosovo Police have informed the Telegraph that during Friday 5 thousand 574 cars with 19 thousand 374 citizens passed. Whereas, only yesterday, there are 6 thousand 158 cars with 21,772 passengers. Also, 261 buses have passed during this period.
The police show that in the three border regions during these two days a total of 23 thousand 3 vehicles with 74 thousand 567 people have passed.
The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania has announced that all those who want to travel to Albania, have no restrictions either for the COVID-19 test or any special document.
According to the official announcement, this decision has entered into force on June 1. Also, starting from July 1, the curfew is extended from 24:00 to 06:00.
