Greece is one of the countries facing many fires this summer season.
Thousands of hectares of land and many homes have been burnt down in the Hellenic state, while hundreds of residents have been evacuated from their homes for security reasons.
Foreign media have published photos where volunteer firefighters are seen resting, after several hours of intense fighting with the flames. The persons in the photo have been identified as members of the Association for the Protection of Forests Volunteers.
Thousands of reactions have flowed towards the photo in question, while most of the comments describe the firefighters as heroes who are trying to save their community.
