Hans-Dieter Flick will be Germany’s new coach after Euro 2020. The official came today, as the 56-year-old will return to the national team in the summer, where he worked as an assistant to Joachim Low. With the latter, he won the World Cup Brazil 2014, as he will replace him after the European Championship.
The former Bayern Munich coach does not hide his joy for the media, where among other things he said: “Everything happened very quickly. I am very happy to be working as a national team coach starting next fall. The last two years at Bayern have helped me a lot.
The team spirit and attitude of the players have been extraordinary. Now I can’t wait to work with Germany’s best players and youngsters. We should have a lot of enthusiasm for the upcoming tournaments, for example Euro 2024.
From my experience, I know we can count on Bierhoff, a strong and reliable partner. I look forward to sharing my ideas with the national team. Anyway, at the moment Euro 2020 matters, I send my best wishes to Low.
Congratulations also to everyone else, the technical staff and the players. Yogi Low deserves a magnificent close to his career at the German national team“, Concluded Hans-Dieter Flick.
