The whole globe seems to be heading towards a new wave of coronavirus spread. In Europe, Spain and Italy are the two countries that in this 24 hours marked the largest increase in infections, where a large part of them is attributed to the “Delta” variant.
Out of about 3 thousand cases reported on June 28, this 24 hours Spain reported over 31 thousand cases. Only 800 cases were reported by Italy on July 1 of this year, while during the last 24 hours the infections exceeded the figure of 5 thousand.
France is also experiencing a new wave of infections, as it reported nearly 20,000 new cases on Friday. The situation is slightly calmer in Britain, which after a significant increase in infections last week, in recent days has marked a slight decline in new cases.
Russia is another country that is facing a difficult pandemic situation, as it reported about 24 thousand infections and 800 loss of life.
In Latin America, Brazil continues to hold the top spot in terms of both infections and deaths. Health authorities there reported nearly 46,000 infections and over 1,200 loss of life.
Also on this continent Argentina and Colombia are the other two countries that are facing increasing infections and fatalities.
