Greece has decided to immediately help the citizens affected by the devastating fires of recent days.
600 euros of direct financial assistance will be provided by the government to each affected citizen. Then there will be compensation of damages up to 6 thousand euros and for businesses up to 8 thousand euros.
It does not remain that way. This process managements from the Municipalities and so far in Acharnes have been transferred 60 thousand euros, in Kifissia also 60 thousand euros and in Dionysos 30 thousand euros.
As for housing, Greece will help those affected with 80% of the amount, while 20% will see the possibility of a loan.
The state will be the guarantor and can borrow up to 150 thousand euros, as well as tax liabilities will be suspended.
The army in Greece will be deployed in the action to extinguish the flames. The decision came after the flames progressed in some areas.
Minister of Defense Nikos Panagiotopoulos noted that the Armed Forces will participate by all means, with continuous patrols in coordination with the Police and Civil Defense.
