The Central Election Commission in its meeting this Thursday, has determined the value of a valid vote in the elections we just left behind.
According to them, the value of a valid vote is 85 new lek. Also, the CEC, through its head Ilirjan Cilibashi showed that from the fund of 130 million ALL, SP receives 48.6% of the budget value, PD receives 39.4%, SMI 6.8% and PSD 2.2%, while for other parties involved in the elections April 25, there will be no financial compensation, as in the CEC assessment they have not exceeded the 1% threshold.
Celibashi also showed the balance sheet of the country’s political parties, which have submitted annual financial reports.
From the calculations made by the CEC, it results that 106 parties, out of 131 in total, have not submitted this report, while 4 others have submitted it outside the set deadline.
For this reason, for these 4 parties, a fine of 150 thousand old lekë was imposed, while for the parties that did not submit this report, a fine of 1 million lekë was imposed.
“The monetary value of a valid vote is 85 lek. This decision enters into force immediately. The second point concerns post-election financial compensation. Political parties that have been registered as electoral subjects have received advance funds, for the elections of April 25, there are 10 political parties. For a party to be compensated after the election it must exceed this 1%.
The parties that did not receive funding are three, the Agrarian Environmentalist Party, the Legality Movement Party and the Union for Human Rights Party. These three parties had to pass 1%, none of them passed to get over 15 thousand votes. For this reason they are not compensated. Based on Article 19 in letters K and M, decides not to distribute post-election financial compensation to any political party participating in the April 25 elections. This decision enters into force immediately, and this decision can be appealed to the KAS.
There are 106 parties that have not submitted financial reports within the deadline, even at the moment we are talking about have not submitted it. 4 of them submitted it, but after the deadline. We impose a fine in the amount of 1 million ALL for political parties that have not submitted the financial report. A fine in the amount of 15 thousand ALL for the political parties that have submitted the report after the deadline “, said Celibashi.
