Beach safety is a legal obligation for every entity that provides service to them, but even though we are in July the watchtowers are still empty.
The beaches along the Adriatic are full of vacationers and the first cases of loss of life have been recorded even among foreign vacationers.
All empty. “There is no tower to find an observer.”
“Here he is and there are no observers at all. It worries me that we have children at sea and there is no one to control them. “
Training courses for life-saving beaches are being attended by a small number of people. For this year in Durrës only 12 observers are licensed, while every 80 m of beach should have one observer. Instructor Ejona Kaltani is concerned that some of the subjects use the licenses of previous observers to fulfill the obligations of the application, but then do not send their persons to training.
“Entities formally conclude their contracts, but do not see it as an object of security.”
“He has a granddaughter and rests in fear.”
“There are young people, children and the elderly who may need it.”
Delays in the application and issuance of permits for beach stations through E-Albania have also affected the taking of security measures for vacationers.
“In the absence of observers, subjects should at least put up signage to tell vacationers how safe swimming is.”
