Health experts in Greece are concerned about the epidemiological situation in the country as the Delta variant of the coronavirus spreads more and more rapidly. The neighboring country on Wednesday registered over 3,000 infected and the numbers are expected to rise even further.
Experts already fear that the fall will mark thousands of cases a day, and the situation is predicted to be even more difficult during the winter. Charalambos Gogos, Professor of Infectious Diseases and Pathology at the University of Patras, expressed to the media rather than pressure will also increase in hospitals.
“You see that every day there is a significant increase. 2,000 and 3,000 cases mean that there are still many distributions and of course these are transmitted to others. “The chances of having a large number of cases in the coming weeks in August are high.”
