Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Denidas has returned once again to the maritime issue with Albania.
Asked in an interview given this Saturday for the newspaper “Parapolitika”, by the journalist Costas Papahliminxhos, about the progress of the talks with Albania, the signing of a joint petition, and an appeal to the International Court of Justice in The Hague and how close are the two countries with the agreement, Foreign Minister Dendias said:
“The political agreement on referring the issue of delimitation of the Exclusive Economic Zone between Greece and Albania to the International Court of Justice in The Hague was reached last October. Regarding technical issues, relevant requests should be drafted. The competent bodies of both countries continue the consultations for the drafting of this text “, said Dendias.
Regarding the ratification of the pacts with Northern Macedonia, after the Prespa agreement, Dendias stated that the Foreign Ministry submitted the complete file to the Greek parliament in September 2020, now remains the setting of dates for parliamentary sessions, adding that the pandemic has changed significantly. the program of the assembly.
