Fengyun-3E is the newest satellite launched from China for space weather forecasting. Foreign media suggest that the satellite is equipped with 11 remote sensors which are expected to “Improve the accuracy of weather forecast”, according to the Xinhua news agency.
Its launch was made by the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert of northwest China.
China National Space Administration (CNSA) said the meteorological satellite “It is designed with a lifespan of eight years and will mainly measure atmospheric temperature, humidity and other meteorological parameters for numerical forecasting applications, improving China’s weather forecasting capacity.”.
