The British government of Boris Johnson is preparing a plan for the application of the third dose of the anti-Covid vaccine and starting in September it is believed that its use may begin.
MEDIA suggest that this vaccine will be used for the elderly and the chronically ill who are most at risk and lack immunity. However this is not something official. It is thought that pharmacies will play a very important role in this process as the vaccine will only be sold in pharmacies for people who are found to have chronic problems or are elderly.
A Ministry of Health spokesman confirmed that the executive is currently preparing for a further vaccination plan and that the scientific medical consultants of the Joint Vaccination and Immunization Committee (JCVI) have already drafted a first interim recommendation on the priority categories. He added that the details of a final decision will be made public in due course.
