An international study has found in citizens infected with coronavirus (for a long time), up to 200 symptoms. The study revealed countless symptoms, from brain fog and hallucinations to tremors and tinnitus. According to the study, a third of the symptoms continued to affect patients for at least six months.
Athena Akrami, a scientist at University College London and author of the study, said: “Many clinics are focused on respiratory rehabilitation. “It is true that many people have shortness of breath, but they also have many other problems.”
She said she was still experiencing symptoms 16 months after being infected with the coronavirus, adding: “There are likely to be tens of thousands of patients with long Covid suffering silently, unsure if their symptoms are Covid-related. 19 ”.
People who become infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and develop COVID-19 disease can recover on average two weeks after the first onset of symptoms. For some more severe cases of COVID-19, doctors say healing of the infected can take up to six weeks.
But there is also a category that continue to have symptoms for weeks or months, even after they thought they were cured.
