The European Union (EU) has criticized Russia for banning two planes from member states from entering the country. EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said this could further escalate tensions between Brussels and Moscow.
“We have received some news of European planes being prevented from landing in Moscow. It was a major concern in air traffic. But we still do not know if it is case by case, specific case, or this is a general norm by the Russian authorities, so that European planes are afraid to fly close to Belarus.
