Albania is on alert regarding the Indian variant, Delta of Covid-19.
The head of the Department of Epidemiology, Silva Bino, has stated that if cases of the Delta variant are confirmed in the country, then there will be a review of anti-Covid measures.
“If we have cases with Delta, of course there will be a review of the measures. If we even notice an increase in the number of cases or collections, of course the measures will be reviewed. “Natural immunity is not enough. Full vaccination with both doses is what protects you from all variants,” Bino told TCH.
We recall that a few days ago the Minister of Health, Ogerta Manastirliu said that there are signals that the Delta variant has arrived in Albania.
She said that some samples were sent to the laboratory in Germany to make further evaluation whether we are dealing with the “Delta” variant in our country or not.
