“From the first hours of the morning, the work for extinguishing the fires in the remaining active fires throughout the country has been intensified.
The fire in the Karaburun Peninsula, Orikum administrative unit, Vlora municipality has been eliminated in most of the hearths, but an intensive hearth has been reactivated on Dukat Mountain, which was extinguished a few days ago. Today in support of our operational forces is also a helicopter coming from the Netherlands.
During the night there was a new hearth in Grama Bay, where work is also being done to extinguish the flames with increased forces.
The fire near the Rips border crossing in the village of Livadhja, Finiq municipality has fallen on difficult terrain, but is being kept under control to avoid the danger of housing.
A fire broke out in the village of Gjorgos, Cakran administrative unit, Fier municipality has engaged the operational forces for hours, who are working to keep it under control. The helicopter from the Czech Republic also came to support them.
The fire in Maja e Rruna, Malzi administrative unit, Kukës municipality, is currently being kept under control, to prevent it from spreading to residential areas. Due to the difficult terrain, the forces could not intervene in the whole area.
