Bad weather is expected to include Albania, but not as a catastrophic situation that Central Europe is going through. The Ministry of Defense through a press release says that during the next 5 days in Albania a weather with local rain is forecast.
According to the ministry, the rainfall is expected to be with short water floods and electrical discharges mainly in the mountainous areas.
The announcement says that the situation expected in our country is normal for the type of thunderstorms in the hot season and has no resemblance to the catastrophic situation which passed in European countries.
“Assessing the situation in Southeast Europe and the information received on the impact that weather conditions may have in other countries nearby, the Institute of Geosciences, Energy, Water and Environment announces that during the next 5 days in Albania, rainy weather is forecast. localities that may be with short water floods and electrical discharges mainly in mountainous areas.
We emphasize that the situation expected in our country is normal for the type of thunderstorms in the hot season and bears no resemblance to the catastrophic situation which passed in European countries.
For the best possible management of any possible emergency situation that may arise as a result of unfavorable weather conditions, the Ministry of Defense and the National Civil Protection Agency will coordinate and coordinate all phases for coping with civil emergencies.
All civil emergency structures and capacities have been activated in a state of readiness, at central and local level for the implementation of plans in case of floods.
