Instagram has started testing a new feature which is very similar to Super Follows on Twitter.
Called “Exclusive Stories”, creators can post exclusive content to their Instagram stories and are only available to subscribers.
When a non-subscriber tries to open such a story, they will be warned with a message saying that only subscriber fans can watch it.
It is currently a prototype in the early stages and the social network itself confirmed this while user testing has not yet started.
Last year companies focused their efforts on providing tools to monetize the work of creators. The membership model has been popularized by platforms like Patreon and has recently found its way to many social networks. / PCWorld Albanian
