The Special Court of Appeals has appointed the trial panel that will take over the case of former Chief Prosecutor Adriatik Llalla.
The trial panel consists of Judges Nertina Kosova, Presiding Rapporteur, Saida Dollani and Dhimitër Lara, members. Currently the case is at the procedural moment of setting the date and time of the trial by the rapporteur judge.
The former Chief Prosecutor, Adriatik Llalla, has appealed the sentence of 2 years in prison in the First Instance for the accusation of hiding property in 3 cases.
Obeying the SPAK investigation, the Court ordered the request for confiscation of almost 22 thousand square meters of land and an apartment in Durrës and approved as an additional sentence the refusal to take public office for five years.
Llalla’s defense had previously insisted that it had concealed nothing but German spending that had been forgotten to be declared human error. However, the Court found the opposite proven, even for the lands that according to the SPAK investigation were re-evaluated several times more than the value that had been purchased for the hospital bill in the US and the costs for building an add-on.
