Amazon Web Services (AWS) will enter the secure communications market. Amazon cloud service has acquired Wickr, an encrypted communication platform built for government officials, large corporations and military organizations.
In a post on the AWS Security blog, Amazon said Wickr would join the company. The communication provided by Wickr is encrypted with text, video and voice calls, encryption that extends to document distribution.
But there is something that distinguishes it from other services, it is the only one with full functionality that meets the security criteria of the American Security Agency.
It is popular among US federal agencies. Moving at a time when interest in secure communication is increasing especially because of the employee pandemic they are working from home.
Wickr is not just for top state agencies and institutions. The free version can be used by anyone. / CIO Albanian
