Amazon will buy Hollywood studio MGM in a $ 8.45 billion deal. The company will take over the rights of some of the stars like James Bond, Rocky or Rbocop.
MGM also owns the Hobbit trilogy that would combine with the Lord of the Rings series that will debut on Prime Video.
The deal is the second largest in Amazon history after the acquisition of Whole Foods for $ 13.7 billion. We also saw Disney buy 21 Century Fox for $ 71 billion.
While other media companies have reached colossal deals, Big Tech has remained silent. The studio has also been in talks with Apple for a possible $ 6 billion purchase but that talks failed. / PCWorld Albanian
