One of the people who brought ashore the body of Garyfallia, the 26-year-old Greek woman who was killed by her boyfriend and then thrown into the sea from a great height, is an Albanian living in Folegandro. Dashamir Pura told the Greek media the moment when they pulled the dead body of the young woman from the sea.
“I asked what happened and they told me that a car had fallen off the slope and a corpse was at sea. From above she looked as if she were alive because the waves were moving her body. We immediately went down to help him.
I plunged into the sea with two other people as I could not pull it alone. They were both holding it by the head while I was pushing it until we came ashore. As soon as he came the doctor tried to bring him to life but in vain. “I waited there until a boat came to pick him up,” said the Albanian.
While another American witness has shown how he spotted the body while he was with his daughter. Christian Koziol, who was on holiday in Folegandros, saw the lifeless body of the 26-year-old on July 16 with his wife and daughter shortly after he was killed by Dimitris Vergos.
