After Italy, France has also approved the use of the green passport to enter bars, restaurants and other places.
According to foreign media, green pass, a QR code indicating that the individual is fully vaccinated, recently cured of COVID -19 or with a negative test will go into effect on Monday.
The Council ruled that the measures were justified, in the name of a “balanced reconciliation” between the requirements of health protection and individual freedoms. The council also approved compulsory vaccination of health care workers and other occupations in contact with vulnerable groups.
They have until September 15 to show they have received a vaccine, and until October 15 to submit proof of full vaccination.
The measures have drawn tens of thousands of protesters into the streets of France in recent weeks, with demonstrators complaining they are an attack on their freedom.
