July 22 is an important date in the history of the country, as with applause, after a series of negotiations, 140 deputies of the Albanian Parliament voted in favor of Justice Reform.
Today marks 5 years since the adoption of the Constitutional amendments that paved the way for Vetting, to clean the justice system of corrupt judges and prosecutors. Shortly after the adoption of the Constitutional amendments, the 2 most important Vetting bodies were set up, the KPC with a 5-year term that is now nearing completion and the KPA with a 9-year term.
Report Tv journalist, Arsen Rusta has managed to provide data on the work done so far by the 2 vetting bodies, KPC and KPA, where it can be seen that this process has proceeded at a slow pace, where not even 50% of judges, prosecutors and legal aid have not passed the filter.
In total, KPC has issued 421 decisions, of which 174 decisions for confirmation in office and 155 decisions for dismissal.

-56 decisions for termination of the process (resignation according to article G of the constitutional annex)
-8 decisions to terminate the process (Article 56 of Law no. 84/2016);
– 25 decisions for the completion of the process without a final decision (Article 95 of the Code of Administrative Procedures and Article 64 of Law no. 96/2016);
-3 decisions for suspension from duty for a period of 1 year.
