Unlike the manufacturing sector, utilities suffered the severe consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic in the first quarter of the year, which was aggressive in January-February.
INSTAT data show that the main categories of the service sector decreased compared to the same period a year ago, except for the trade and vehicle repair sector and ICT businesses, which increased.

Indicators of indicators in the activity of Information and Communication, which includes the activity of Publication, Telecommunications and Information Technology services, in the first quarter of 2021, are presented as follows:
The net sales index in volume increased by 4.8%, compared to the first quarter of 2020;
The number of employees index increased by 5.5%, compared to the first quarter of 2020;
The wage bill index increased by 22.8%, compared to the first quarter of 2020.
