The group “For PD” has presented today the two candidates who will challenge Lulzim Basha on June 13 in the race for party chairman.
As “Panorama” reported yesterday, the two proposed candidates are Edit Harxhi and Ibsen Elezi. Earlier, it was Fatabardh Kadilli who submitted his candidacy for chairman of the Democratic Party.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Based on the decision of the Presidency of the Democratic Party of Albania to announce the race for Chairman of the DPA to be held on June 13, 2021, we are informing you that from the Group for PD will be presented two candidacies, ladies Edit Harxhi and Mr. Ibsen Elezi.
For this we are presenting some necessary requirements to guarantee an fair and free race, despite the extremely short time decided unilaterally by the DPA leadership.
1) The Presidency of the DPA and the Electoral Commission made available to the candidates for Chairman of the DPA, no later than May 24, 2021, the full list of membership of the DPA.
2) Review the composition of the Election Commission and those at the branch level, including representatives of candidates for President.
3) To draft an agenda of joint meetings of the candidates with the membership, to reveal the political platforms and the development of the debate.
4) The Organization Office and the branch presidencies put in function the candidates for President of the DPA, the infrastructure and the administrative resources for the development of the above mentioned joint meetings.
We remain waiting for the fulfillment of these necessary requirements for an open, equal competition based on the best western values of the Democratic Party of Albania.
