This weekend at the Morina border crossing point has started with a high flow of vehicles from Kosovo to Albania. The Albanian coast now remains the main destination of Kosovars who have started the seasonal holidays.
This is due to the “patriotic” tourism, the economic benefit and the tranquility offered by the Albanian coast, despite the fact that vacationers from Kosovo say that there is room for improvement.
But, the Albanian coast seems that this season as well as last year is becoming more and more preferred by the citizens of Northern Macedonia and Serbia.
Bratislava, a citizen of Serbia, together with his wife and children this Saturday was traveling for the first time for vacation to Durrës. He says that he will stay for 10 days for vacation and that he likes the Albanian coast very much.
“The Albanian coast is no different from the Greek coast,” said Bratislavi, who when asked if he was afraid when traveling with Serbian license plates to Kosovo and Albania, said that there was no problem because he was from Serbia and was not afraid to rest in Albania.
Meanwhile, the border police of Morina informed that the influx has started in the early hours of Saturday morning, but the influx has also had on Friday afternoon.
According to the border police, with the beginning of the tourist season in Morina, work is being done with an accelerated procedure and with longer counters. The same procedure was followed even before the start of the tourist season 2021 where there was a large influx of citizens and vehicles from Kosovo but also other countries in the region.
