The CoronaVac vaccine, developed by Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac Biotech, against the new strain of coronavirus (COVID-19) is “effective and safe.”
The news was published by Dr. Silva Bino, who referring to an updated study on May 17 in Chile for CoronaVac, states that it is about 65.3% effective in preventing symptomatic Covid-19, as well as 87% effective in preventing of hospital admissions.
Also, according to her, 90.3% effective for the prevention of hospitalizations in intensive care and 86% effective in the prevention of deaths.
