In 2019 Opera launched a desktop browser for gaming fans to further distinguish itself from Google Chrome.
In the months and years that followed the company further improved the browser with options including Razer Chroma lighting.
And in January the push to gaming continued with the release of YoYo Games, the British company behind the GameMaker Studio 2 game development platform.
To further expand Opera brought the gaming browser to mobile platforms today.
Opera launched beta testing of Opera GX on iOS and Android on Thursday with plans to go public in a few weeks.
What sets it apart from other browsers?
For starters the advanced features of Opera GX allow setting a limit on CPU, RAM and Internet usage. Mobile browser users can use quick buttons to access features like search or open and closed tabs.
You can sync mobile browsers with the desktop version just by scanning a QR code. Advanced features make it possible to block ads or protect against crypto diggers.
As of March Opera GX had 9 million active users on Windows and Mac, an increase of 190% compared to a year ago. In Discord the browser has 285 thousand followers. / PCWorld Albanian
